Fotocrime + Bleakness + Morbid

We're happy to present you another gloomy highlight:

Fotocrime (Profound Lore Records, Luisville/US)

Fotocrime is the current project of multi-instrumentalist Ryan Patterson (Coliseum, The National Acrobat), which is considered an important part of the music scene in Louisville (Kentucky).
What started as a band has now become a real one-person show. After the two EPs "Always Hell" and "Always Night", he released the debut album "Principle of Pain" in 2018, which focuses on drum computers and analog synthesizers, and with which he extensively toured the world, with bands such as Emma Ruth Rundle, HIDE, Soft Kill , CRIPPLED BLACK PHOENIX (official) and mayne more. Now his second longplayer is in the starting blocks, which is called "South of Heaven",out on Profound Lore Records in March, but musically has less to do with Slayer. Rather, the musical reference points of the Fotocrime sound cosmos are probably called Sisters of Mercy, Killing Joke or Depeche Mode.
Dark-atmospheric songs, in which Patterson processes his own life experience, spurt ahead with overwhelming guitar drive and cold sythie beats. He himself says about his new album:
"This record is the soundtrack for a night drive,
where the headlights illuminate the horizon"
Glad to have him back in Vienna, this time in a intimate venue!

Bleakness (Sabotage Records, Nantes, France)

Bleakness met in early 2016 in Nantes, France, to play dark and rough hardcore punk from then on. After some tours they moved to Lyon, where guitarist/singer Nico (ex-Amanda Woodward) and bass player Phab not only found a new drummer in Jake, but also found new musical paths with him. Their sound became calmer, more melancholic and mutated in the direction of dark postpunk with a noticeable 80s touch, sometimes the razor-sharp melody lines of the Wipers and some elements of 80's Oi! Punk flash through. At the end of 2019 the debut album "Functinally Extinct" was released on the German label Sabotage Records, which caused a lot of joy even among critics who were already tired of the post-punk hype. Now they are on the road with Fotocrime to testify to it live on the stages of the continent.

MORBID (WIen du tote Stadt)

Spooky harsh punk with well known faces and loads of reverb. Best new band in town. Run for your life.

21:00 sharp!!
As always no smoke, no greyzone, no macho bullshit.
See you on the dancefloor gothkids!
